Manchester Canal

The festival is going to be made using unused spaces and areas that have been forgotten or unappreciated through Manchester. The canal that travels through the city is completely forgotten about, to the point where it seems to be under the city. Most people don't know where the canal really goes, where it begins or ends.

The canal is quite nasty, dirty and full of rubbish. The festival can have a section that tries to help with this problem. We have come up with the idea of 'Canal Bombs', which are eco friendly, coloured, fizzing bombs that can be thrown into the river. We plan to have them physically appealing, in different colours which will fizz up and create something eye catching. However as want them to be eco-friendly and have some form of water purifying element to them, so they will help clean the canal instead of just adding more junk into it.
